A research-driven second opinion

Will your portfolio thrive?

Does your portfolio fit your financial goals—and today’s market?

Tell IdealPortfolio what matters to you and add your holdings. Build a structured research prompt for an AI second opinion on your portfolio’s strengths, risks, and potential gaps.

Enter holdings directly, paste a rough list or copied brokerage table, or use the optional template. No account numbers, passwords or Social Security numbers are required.

Your goal, likely reaction to a market decline, risk/return preference and time horizon shape the review. IdealPortfolio does not rely on a single maximum-loss percentage.

Why you can trust this process

IdealPortfolio gives AI better inputs and stricter instructions. It combines the holdings and household information you provide with dated, sourced market and economic data, then asks the AI to perform a structured second-opinion analysis.

Your actual portfolio

The analysis starts with the holdings, goals, risk preferences and retirement context you provide — not a generic model portfolio.

Current, sourced data

IdealPortfolio supplies dated market and economic readings from established public sources and tells the AI to use only the conditions that materially matter to your portfolio.

Built-in checks

The AI must show the holdings it understood, reconcile allocation math, verify consequential facts when possible, disclose assumptions and flag meaningful uncertainty instead of guessing.

IdealPortfolio Summary Report

A polished, print-ready summary with key findings, the Suggested / tax-aware target, account-by-account changes, downside context, an action checklist and questions for relevant professionals.

1. Answer a few questions→2. Add your holdings→3. Review and run your prompt

Still a second opinion: AI can be wrong. Material investment, tax and legal decisions should be independently verified before action.

Frequently asked questions

Does IdealPortfolio produce the report?

IdealPortfolio builds a structured research prompt from your answers and holdings. You review it and run it in your chosen AI tool. That tool produces the analysis; its quality, formatting, and completeness can vary.

Which AI tool should I use?

Use an AI tool with web research and source citations. Research features, usage limits, and any subscription costs depend on the provider. Check that the finished analysis follows the prompt and supports its conclusions.

What holdings information do I need?

Prepare a list of your holdings and their approximate shares of the total portfolio. Choose one method: enter holdings directly, paste a list or brokerage table, or fill out the spreadsheet template and paste it. There is no need to enter the same holdings twice. Remove identifying details, account numbers, and other sensitive information first.

Where does my information go?

Your answers and holdings stay in this browser while you prepare the prompt. IdealPortfolio does not save them to an account or database. When you submit the prompt to an AI service, that service receives its contents and its privacy settings apply. Do not include passwords, account numbers, or Social Security numbers.

How current is the market information?

Readings have observation dates, and sources publish on different schedules. A daily reading may refer to a previous business day; some economic indicators update less frequently. Check the dates and sources before relying on a figure.

How should I use the results?

Use the report to identify questions and possible next steps. Confirm that the AI understood your holdings, verify important claims, and review the consequences before making investment, tax, or legal decisions.
